As many people may know there are big changes being made to the University of Glasgow campus, the beginning of these changes is the construction of a new Learning and Teaching Hub. Campus Development Programme contractor, Multiplex, were kind enough to invite our FemEng in Rwanda 2018 team to visit the site and find out more about the changes being made to the campus.
The new Learning and Teaching Hub will be a major addition to University avenue, some key features include a 500-seater raked lecture theatre, four flat-floored lecture theatres and 1,000-plus spaces for learning. It will provide an abundance of new resources for students and will be directly connected to the Boyd Orr Building.
After a brief presentation by Multiplex, we visited the site and were able to see the foundation and planning of the building in its early stages. It was an extremely interesting visit and thanks to Multiplex for being so informative. We are excited to see the progress of the new Learning and Teaching Hub and look forward to using it one day!
